Creating the next tech entrepreneurs - Stockholm Edition 2017

Last year we opened up for applications, to our coding bootcamp. To increase diversity in the tech scene of Sweden we had to go create talents with diversity.
We got amazing response, hundreds applied to our bootcamp. Our requirements we prioritize female, minority groups and from low income areas applications. Chose 10 talents, 5 women and 5 men.
Provided them problem solving and personality tests, then had 1 on 1 interviews.
Thanks to Coursera, we have been able together with them provide our talents with access to entire Coursera platform. Talents during the summer break go through the online courses to prep.
We also opened up recruitment to find the best teachers and coders out there. From all the applications we have chosen and hired two talented part-time teachers that will teach out Front-end development during the Autumn.
On 4th September 2017 kick off for our 10 talents at Norrsken House. 5th September they are presented to the public during our Husby event.
For 8 weeks, part-time coding sessions combined with online work at home they will rotate between startup offices of Uber, Truecaller, Pepins in Stockholm.
In the end of the 8 weeks they will launch a web app focusing on one of the UN's Sustainability Development Goals.
